November 4, 2006 Cali Pasta Restaurant at the Gardens on El Paseo hosted a marvelous fundraising event for Forever Free Horse Rescue. The 150 guests in attendance were treated to music by The Skeleton Crew, delicious food from Cali Pasta, a wonderful no-host bar featuring signature drinks, a raffle and a silent auction. A great time was had by all!

On March 17, 2007 On March 17, 2007 Forever Free Horse Rescue began the tradition of having a community sponsored garage sale to raise much needed funds for our rescued family members. Unbelievable, we raised $1800.00. Have you ever heard of such a thing? The line began to form at our gates at 6:30 AM and by 1:30 in the afternoon we were nearly cleaned out. The funds that were raised purchased 100 bails of hay and paid a vet. bill for one of our horses that had been very ill. Many thanks to the wonderful folks who donated their time and great items for this event! Your support means so very much. Thank you!

April, 2008 In April, 2008 Forever Free Horse Rescue continued our yearly tradition of holding our annual garage sale fundraising event. We simply invited the community to donate their unwanted, usable items, and the response was overwhelming. Our event was by all measures a huge success and we owe it all to the community and our faithful supporters. You are loved!

Winewomen Benefit Forever Free

Many, many thanks to Kathleen Von Dehn, Mo Brett, Mary Hurja, Andrea Terry, Shawnna Trombetta, Matilde Parente, and Pamela Jandt who are the wonderful ladies of the WineWomen PSP organization that so graciously selected Forever Free Horse Rescue as recipient of their June 2008 “Calling All Cowgirls” Event held June 7, 2008 at the Empire Polo Club’s Tack Room Tavern. Winewomen PSP is a non-profit group that gathers for monthly wine related events, with the main purpose of raising funds for organizations in need. In attendance were several of our closest friends including John & Nancy Alley and Dr. Clark, our ever vigilant veterinarian. And, a special thanks to those friends who made donations for the events raffle. If you would like more info. regarding Winewomen PSP you may contact Kathleen Von Dehn at:
kvondehn.winewomenpsp@yahoo.com. Ladies, a thousand times thank you for your compassion and thoughtfulness!
Cheers!!!

Forever Free Horse Rescue held our community sponsored garage sale June 20, 2009 Forever Free Horse Rescue held our community sponsored garage sale to help fund the continuum of the mission that is Forever Free. By all accounts it was a booming success and we are so very grateful to our community for their love and support! Because of you we raised a whopping $2504.50.

On December 19, 2009 Forever Free Horse Rescue held our very first Open House. Guests were treated to a fabulous lunch, items for last minute Christmas shopping including Cookie Lee jewelry, hand crafted Christmas horse décor, Forever Free Horse Rescue calendars and several selections for children. The most highly prized item of the day was a guided tour through our ranch to meet and greet our horses. Our guests enjoyed this wonderful, hands-on experience, and the horses loved all of the attention.

bake saleIn May, 2010 several lovely young ladies with hearts of gold took it upon themselves to organize a bake sale with all proceeds being donated to Forever Free Horse Rescue. I am so deeply touched by these girls and their genuine hearts to serve. I would like to take this opportunity to tip my hat to the parents of Kristina Evanko, Victoria Tran, Tessa Vanderwerf, Rachel Hudgens, Micha Ramos and Sarah Nolan. Thank you girls and thank you to their wonderful parents for teaching compassion.

Forever Free Horse RescueIn April of 2011 Forever Free Horse Rescue was blessed by two little boys. Emmett and Donovan Mitchell from Walled Lake, Michigan come to the desert during Spring vacation to visit their Grandma and Grandpa Mitchell. During their visit Emmet and Donovan held their own fundraising event for Forever Free Horse Rescue. They sold cupcakes and lemonade and raised a whopping $294.25 for the mission that is Forever Free. But folks, this is the second time these two boys have taken it upon themselves to make a difference, by holding a fund raiser, and presenting us with all the proceeds. Thank you Emmett and Donovan, and I applaud you mom, dad, grandma and grandpa for raising such fine young men. What you are teaching them is to value other’s, and that in giving you truly receive!

On April 30, 2011 I am beyond thrilled to report that our community, annual fundraising garage sale event was an amazing success. We raised nearly $3500.00 in support of our rescued horses with 100% of all the proceeds going toward the continuum of our mission. To every person who contributed their usable, unwanted items, volunteered their efforts and time, or just cheered us on from afar, I wish to say thank you. Thanks you for your loyalty, your support, and your love. Without you none of this would be even remotely possible!

ANNUAL FUNDRAISER A SUCCESS!

FundraiserJackalope Ranch was the perfect location for our recent fundraiser held November 5, 2011. Guests were treated to a western style buffet dinner while enjoying the musical sounds of “The Arrangements”. There was a fantastic silent auction for guests to bid on assorted, donated items including several pieces of art contributed by Kerstin Pollack. A wonderful time was had by all of our guests as we danced the evening away under a star filled sky. Ongoing supporters present included John and Nancy Alley, Thella Muncy and Karen, Tony and Karen Barone, board members Dr. and Mrs. Michael Gatto and our facility’s veterinarian Dr. James Clark. Many thanks to all who attended, volunteered, and showed their support for the mission that is Forever Free Horse Rescue.
